About Me
Chaos-wrangler,
problem-solver,
Hey, I'm Annemé. Depending on what a project needs, that might mean designing the interface, running point with the client, or getting elbow-deep in a workflow that's fallen apart and fixing it so the team ships on time. Right now that means co-heading the web department at AdMakers International — but honestly, the job title's never been the point. Being the person who jumps in and figures it out is.

My Story
From messing around
to making a living at it.
Based in Cape Town with roots in the Middle East, and glued to computers since before I could really walk — "trained" by my dad at age four, then coding HTML in Notepad not long after. What started as a curious gamer's hobby turned into an actual career of bridging technical logic with things that look good.
A Bachelor's in Application Development provided a real engineering foundation — not to code professionally, but to know what's actually feasible to build and to speak developers' language. At AdMakers International, that combo shows up daily: pixel-perfect UI/UX for major automotive brands, alongside client reporting and co-heading the web department.
Currently doing an Honours in UI/UX design to keep sharpening that. Outside of work: micromanaging a sandbox simulation, shooting 35mm film, or hunting for the exact prompt to get an AI render just right — a sucker for systems, whatever shape they come in.

Fiverr

Client Reporting
Making sense of the numbers, too
Alongside design and dev, this covers recurring client reporting for AdMakers International's automotive dealership accounts — turning campaign, web and lead-gen data into clear, presentation-ready reports every month. It's a different kind of UX problem: the "interface" here is a report someone skims in five minutes before a meeting, so the same instincts that shape a product screen — hierarchy, restraint, knowing what to cut — apply just as much to a slide of numbers as they do to an app. Built and kept running for several dealership brands under the group.

Beyond the Screen
Off the clock
Piano
A quiet, screen-free break from design — working a piece back up to speed one hand at a time, with the same patience a stubborn layout demands.
Gaming & Customization
A committed life-sim addict, currently deep in Paralives Early Access alongside The Sims 2 and 3. Not a modder, but weirdly technical about game setup — GShade, Steam Workshop content, and chasing down performance bugs.
Analog & Tactile
35mm film photography, for the whole mechanical ritual of shooting and winding it. Also big on cooking and hosting shared meals, with a soft spot for fiddly prep — filled ravioli, bacon-infused pancakes.
Music
Alternative bands like Sleep Token are basically the soundtrack, plus a love of singing — working out how to adapt heavy vocal tracks with clean substitutions, power-belting and breathy grit.
